That’s Delivered Hits the Road: Our Visit to MATS and a Message About Teamwork
The That’s Delivered team just wrapped up an incredible experience at the 2025 Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS), and we’re excited to share what we’ve been up to!
This trip wasn’t just about checking out the latest in trucking tech, shaking hands, or networking with other passionate folks in the industry—it was also a moment to reflect on where That’s Delivered is headed and how much our community continues to grow. Being on the floor at MATS, surrounded by professionals from every corner of the industry, reminded us of why we started this platform in the first place: to tell real stories from the road, spotlight the people behind the wheel, and highlight the heart of this industry.
Sharing My Speech: A Focus on Teamwork in Trucking
One of the biggest honors I had at MATS was being able to deliver a speech about growth in the trucking industry and what it truly means to thrive out here. A big part of my message focused on something that often gets overlooked in an industry known for independence: teamwork.
Yes, many truckers spend long hours solo behind the wheel—but behind every safe mile, there’s a team. Whether it’s dispatchers coordinating routes, mechanics making sure equipment stays reliable, safety personnel ensuring everyone’s well-being, or fellow drivers sharing knowledge and support, success in trucking is never a one-person show.
In my speech, I shared personal stories from early in my career where the people around me made all the difference. There was the Coca-Cola challenge, a moment that almost made me hang up the keys for good—but it was a conversation with a teammate that gave me the perspective I needed to keep going. It reminded me that it’s not just about the freight—it’s about the people carrying it forward, together.
I encouraged everyone in the room to think about how they show up for others, how they stay open to learning, and how powerful it can be when we choose to grow as a team instead of trying to go it alone. Because no matter how much the industry changes—whether it’s new tech, stricter regulations, or evolving customer expectations—one thing stays the same: we’re stronger when we’ve got each other’s backs.
What’s Next for That’s Delivered?
After a trip like this, we’re more fired up than ever. Expect new podcast episodes featuring some incredible guests we connected with at MATS (and on the road), fresh merch drops, and maybe even some new collaborations in the works. We’re also doubling down on our mission to share valuable, inspiring, and real stories from all across the trucking world.
If you haven’t already, be sure to subscribe to the podcast, follow us on socials, and keep checking back on the blog. We’re just getting started.
Thank you to everyone who stopped us at MATS to share a kind word, take a photo, or tell us how the podcast has impacted them. That’s what keeps us rolling.
Stay safe, stay connected, and keep delivering.
