Trucking Ray

Ray Lampkins “Trucking Ray”
Founder of 3-Axle Coffee & Host of That’s Delivered Podcast

Born in North Carolina, Ray Lampkins, known to many as “Trucking Ray”, developed an early love for the open road by watching some of the most respected drivers in the trucking industry. Legends like Rochelle Batchelor, James Brown, and many others shaped his admiration for the profession, not just as a job, but as a calling built on grit, dedication, and community.

Over the years, trucking became more than just a career for Ray. It became a lifestyle. Long hauls, countless miles, and shared stories with fellow drivers revealed the deep bonds within the trucking community. Alongside that journey, one constant remained by his side: coffee. From early morning starts to late night runs, coffee fueled his focus, kept him connected to the moment, and even served as a way to break the ice with other drivers along the way.

That blend of passion for trucking and love for coffee eventually sparked a new vision. Ray realized he had the opportunity to bring these two worlds together, both as a personal passion project and as a way to give back to the community that shaped him. This vision became 3-Axle Coffee.

3-Axle Coffee isn’t just about caffeine. It’s about connection. Each blend is inspired by the memories Ray has collected over the years, with flavor profiles built from the “tasting notes” of life on the road: sunrises over open highways, the hum of a diesel engine, and the laughter shared with friends at truck stops across America. It’s coffee meant to be enjoyed slowly, shared with loved ones, and remembered through the moments it helps create.

Through his work as host of That’s Delivered Podcast, Ray also uses his platform to amplify the voices of others in the industry drivers, entrepreneurs, and innovators giving them the opportunity to share their stories in a way that hasn’t been done before. The podcast, much like his coffee, is about connection, authenticity, and celebrating the people who keep America moving.

Locally, Ray has partnered with talented roasters and coffee shops in his hometown of St. Paul, Minnesota, whose craftsmanship and dedication help bring 3-Axle Coffee to life. He is deeply grateful for every person involved in creating a cup that’s worthy of the hardworking individuals who inspire it.

For Ray, coffee is more than a drink. It’s a bridge between worlds. It’s the handshake between truckers at a rest stop, the quiet companion during a long drive, and the centerpiece of conversation around the kitchen table. The coffee community, much like the trucking industry, is built on hard work, mutual respect, and a shared desire to bring a little joy into someone’s day. Ray believes that if you work hard at something, it can turn into something great, with great people and a great community by your side.

With 3-Axle Coffee, Ray hopes you’ll not only enjoy the flavor, but also make your own memories, one cup at a time.
