The Story of That’s Delivered: One Year of Growth, Learning, and Gratitude
One year ago, That’s Delivered was just an idea—one that had been floating around in my mind, sparked by a conversation with my wife, Tara. She planted the thought of starting a podcast, but at the time, I didn’t have much faith in myself to pull it off. Then, as fate would have it, my good friend Matty G brought up the idea of creating a podcast as well. Hearing it from two people whose opinions I value so much gave me the push I needed. That day, I took action. I bought the domain, researched how to launch a podcast, and just went for it.
Like anything new, there was a learning curve. In the beginning, the episodes were short—just about 10 minutes long. I had to work on my confidence, refine my ability to ask engaging questions, and get comfortable talking into a mic. It was very much a learn-as-you-go process. Over time, I figured out how to improve the audio, choose the right programs, and structure episodes better. Now, our episodes can run over an hour, packed with meaningful conversations and insights from incredible guests.
None of this would have been possible without my amazing team. Matty G, my co-host, brings the energy and personality that make the show so engaging. His excitement is contagious, and he has an incredible way of making every episode feel fun and dynamic. I’m beyond grateful for him and all the heart he puts into That’s Delivered.
Behind the scenes, my wife Tara. As our editor, she makes sure everything runs smoothly. From helping write episodes to scheduling guests and handling all the little details that keep That’s Delivered moving forward, she does it all. Without her, there wouldn’t be a show. Period.
As we celebrate one year of podcasting, I want to extend a huge thank you to every guest who has joined us. Your stories, insights, and experiences have made That’s Delivered what it is today. We’ve had the privilege of talking with truckers, industry leaders, and inspiring voices who have shared their journeys and knowledge with our audience. Every conversation has been a learning experience, and we are always growing.
Now, we’re stepping into an exciting new phase. We’re working on commercial partnerships, which is a huge milestone for us. Truck Parking Club was our first partner, and now we’re in discussions with a larger company that we can’t wait to share more about soon. This is just the beginning, and we’re excited for what’s ahead.
If there’s one lesson from this journey, it’s this: just start. You don’t have to have it all figured out. You don’t have to be perfect. You just have to take that first step and keep learning as you go. That’s Delivered started as an idea, and now it’s something real—something that’s growing and evolving every day.
To our listeners, supporters, and everyone who has been part of this journey—thank you. We can’t wait to see where the next year takes us!
